rep practices

Players will benefit from high-level REP training, starting with core fundamentals such as shooting, layups, ball handling, and passing. They'll also develop team concepts through the Maple Offense—our read-and-react, positionless system. Defensive training includes man-to-man, zone, press, and press break strategies. These are the foundational skills of REP basketball, preparing players to join a REP team or make their school team.

weekly games

After a focused skill development session, players are divided into balanced teams for 8-minute games, officiated by a referee and tracked live on the scoreboard. These structured game sessions provide consistent playing time and valuable in-game experience, accelerating development far beyond traditional REP formats.

Unlike league play—where coaches often prioritize winning over skill-building—this program is designed with 100% focus on player development. Coaches can adjust the level of competition to match player needs, ensuring every athlete grows at the right pace. Players improve while having fun, making friends, and building confidence

rep games

Once players reach key development milestones, they’ll have the opportunity to compete in 5–10 games against other REP teams. These matchups provide a fun and exciting competition, allowing players to test their skills in real-game situations. It’s a rewarding way to measure progress, gain exposure to higher-level play, and experience the team environment of REP basketball.

  • How does this compare to joining a regular REP team?
Unlike traditional REP teams, which often focus on winning games and offer limited playing time, this program prioritizes development. Every player gets meaningful minutes, and coaches focus 100% on teaching and player development.
  • What makes this a Rapid Player Development Program?
This program is designed to fast-track your child’s basketball growth. With weekly REP practices and structured gameplay, players improve much faster than in traditional house league or even many REP programs.
  • Will my child learn REP-level skills and strategy?
Yes. Players are taught the same offensive and defensive concepts used in REP basketball—like the Maple Offense (read-and-react, positionless play), man-to-man defense, zone coverage, pressing, and press breaks.
  • Are games included, or is this just training?
Each week includes a 90-minute game session where players compete in structured, referee-officiated games. This live game experience is crucial to applying skills under real pressure. In addition, players will compete in 5–10 REP games against other clubs, providing even more exposure to high-level competition.
  • Will this program prepare my child for REP basketball?
Definitely. This program is designed to “hyper-develop” players, so when they transition to REP basketball, they’ll be ready to compete and thrive.
