Athlete Contract
PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD SIGN BELOW:
As a member of Ontario Basketball, I agree to abide by the following guidelines at all times to ensure a positive development experience for all athletes and coaches I compete with or against this season:
1. Create a Fun Environment: Help my teammates establish a fun playing atmosphere.
2. Be Responsible: Take responsibility for my own behavior and never physically, verbally, or mentally harm a teammate, opponent, spectator, or anyone else.
3. Lead by Example: Encourage my teammates to adhere to Ontario Basketball rules and respect the rights of other players, coaches, fans, and officials.
4. Promote a Safe Environment: Contribute to a sports environment free of drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and abusive language, and refrain from their use at all sporting events.
5. Respect Officials: Communicate with game and league officials in an appropriate manner.
6. Adhere to Fair Play Principles: Follow the Ontario Basketball principles of Fair Play and guidelines for behavior.
7. Follow Transfer Policy: Be aware of Ontario Basketball’s Transfer Policy and adhere to its guidelines.
